Are you skilled at building email programs that deliver an innovative, customized, functional, and delightful experience for a target audience?

We are looking for an email marketing manager to join our Owned Content and Channels team to reach a specific audience with stories and facts about Amazon. Keys to success in this role are an ability to create, manage, and analyze weekly email campaigns, and use the results to optimize and scale. In this role, you will be responsible for building the strategy, implementing the roadmap, and reporting on results for a high-visibility global email programs across multiple languages.


The ideal candidate has experience leveraging data to gain insights and solve problems, an eye for graphic design, experience with content strategy, and technical email development skills. Our new team member needs to be deeply analytical, detail oriented, and obsessive over constantly improving digital customer experiences leveraging quantitative and qualitative inputs. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders to identify and drive innovative email solutions that achieve business goals and raise the bar for customer experience with each launch.

  • Own highly visible email programs from beginning to end. This includes gathering requirements, design and development, testing, launch, reporting and maintenance.
  • Build and maintain a roadmap for U.S. and international email programs
  • Work with worldwide marketing managers, content creators, designers, program managers, and business leadership to align email initiatives with cross-functional team goals
  • Develop an iterative testing strategy to gain insights and continually improve the customer experience through optimized messaging and targeting
  • Analyze, report on, and optimize against KPIs. This includes daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly KPI reporting of OCC related channels, and developing updates and communication for internal stakeholders
  • Continuous improvements in performance through testing
  • Track best practices, monitor industry trends, and make recommendations for growth

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of marketing experience
  • Experience using data analysis tools
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and/or similar queries to analyze data
  • Experience using and editing HTML or other coding language
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communication or other related field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience as a writer or content marketer
  • Experience with email platforms
  • Experience in setting up automated marketing communication
  • Experience in audience segmentation and targeting
  • Experience with A/B testing
  • Experience with analytical tools and ability to dive deep into metrics and reporting
