CNN is looking for a Product Analyst, Email to support CNN's growing newsletter portfolio. Reporting to the Product Manager, this role is responsible for maintaining the performance and health of the email channel with regard to deliverability, list hygiene and audience segmentation. This role requires a high level of collaboration with partners across Editorial, Growth, Product and Engineering teams.
The Daily
- Support the development and maintenance of new and existing newsletters
- Monitor newsletter deliverability and overall performance, providing guidance and troubleshooting issues as needed - including periodic support outside of typical working hours
- Maintain email templates, audience segments and automated re-engagement flows
- Identify opportunities and implement tactics to improve email deliverability, template design, acquisition strategy, audience segmentation and engagement
- Support the testing and integration of new email capabilities and tools
- Provide guidance on email best practices and stay on top of emerging trends
The Essentials
- Passionate about the newsletter space with experience in email operations, email marketing or audience development
- Previous experience with an enterprise-grade ESP required; experience with deliverability monitoring tools is a plus
- Comprehensive understanding of best practices for email creative and templates, deliverability, segmentation, dynamic content and automation
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS and email marketing technical infrastructure such as domain and IP management; understanding of APIs, multi-channel message orchestration and relational data models is a plus
- Ability to maintain a high level of productivity while managing multiple competing priorities
- Extremely organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Direct experience with operational process improvement
