The Marketing Channel Manager - Email & SMS will be responsible for serving as the digital marketing channel owner for Email & SMS.

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations: 

  1. Develop and implement email and SMS marketing strategy for automated and triggered campaigns as part of an omnichannel program 
  2. Establish daily/weekly/monthly analytics to report, diagnose, and iterate campaigns  
  3. Optimize campaigns by testing creative, copy, timing, offers, and customer segment specific strategies 
  4. Partner with marketing analytics to develop and improve testing capabilities, forecasting models, trigger-based marketing functionalities, and other automated tools to report and iterate on campaigns 
  5. Partner with corporate marketing and merchandising to build offers, coordinate new product launches, and ensure consistent brand message for D2C campaigns 
  6. Partner with web and UX teams around channel specific needs and site-side funnel optimization 
  7. Communicate performance, data-driven insights, and subsequent adjustments that tell a story to senior stakeholders 
  8. Ensure revenue, ROI, and other business goals are met 
  9. Report to Director of D2C Marketing alongside team of digital experts 

Essential Skills and Experience: 

  • 5-7+ years of building and managing paid search campaigns, experience running display and video, preferably for D2C eCommerce brands (performance marketing expertise required) 
  • BS/BA in marketing, business administration, economics, or other technical field  
  • Proven project management skills with track record of driving performance on cross-functional teams 
  • Expert with search platforms (Google Ads, Bing), GDN buys, and video buys, third party bidding tools a plus 
  • Ability to “dive under the hood”: quantitative, data-first approach with strong analytical deduction and diagnostic ability to find and solve problems 
  • Expert in campaign infrastructure, deep understanding of link tracking, pixels/tags, Google Analytics, and marketing attribution 
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences at varying levels of the organization
