The Role

The Manager, Marketing Automation position will support the global marketing organization for Pantheon. The role will manage the strategic, technical, and operational components of all areas of Marketing Automation (MA) within the company. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills with knowledge of marketing automation, CRM and reporting best practices within the area of Marketing Operations. Additionally, this candidate will have extensive experience with predictive lead scoring, advanced nurture programs, database management, data privacy management, Marketing Automation administration, and marketing campaign execution.

This role supports all areas of Marketing including growth, brand, and product and their respective database, process, and technology initiatives; and is responsible for unlocking potential within our marketing operations for better resource allocation and process optimization.

As a member of the Marketing Operations and Analytics team, the Manager, Marketing Automation, is integral to the success of Pantheon’s core marketing processes and operations. Additionally, this role will be partnering with cross-functional teams to build growth at scale. This role reports to the Director, Marketing Operations & Analytics within the larger Revenue Operations team.

Cool Things You’ll Do

  • Ownership of our Marketing Automation (MA) platform including strategy, execution, and administration.
  • Management of the operational functions within MA, examples include:
  • Lifecycle programs
  • Scoring programs
  • Preference center
  • Lead Source program
  • Privacy Compliance & “Opt In” programs
  • List segmentations
  • Database management and quality governance

  • Management of the marketing functions within MA, examples include:
  • Plan, build, QA, and send email programs & campaigns for all marketing functions
  • Cross-functional prioritization of emails
  • Manage the Campaign Service Desk
  • Form integrations
  • List uploads
  • Template creation and maintenance

  • Marketing Automation Administration
  • User management & permissions, webhook integrations, field management, launch point integrations, etc.

  • Marketing Automation Innovations and Best Practices
  • Introduce and implement MA best practices to continually optimize our MA instance and increase productivity and system efficiency.
  • Marketing Enablement - Create, maintain and consolidate enablement materials for new hire onboarding, skill development, and ongoing governance
  • Partner with Marketing team to build development and priority roadmap.
  • Partner with RevOps to evaluate technology and process change impact.

  • What You Bring To The Table
  • 7+ years of marketing experience
  • 4+ years of experience with Marketing Automation
  • Direct experience in relevant business systems such as Marketing Automation and CRM platforms a must.
  • Strong understanding of how data work flows push/update within CRM and marketing automation platforms .
  • Marketo Expert Certification, preferred
  • Experience in business to business marketing within technology sector preferred.
  • Experience in customer funnel design and operations
  • Experience building and maintaining predictive lead scoring methodologies
  • Experience in nurture strategy and technical implementation
  • Experience with data normalization and database governance
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business, technology, or marketing.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
