Job Purpose:
The CRM & Email Marketing Manager is responsible for the team that executes all communication strategies and retention programs. This role works collaboratively across the Ecommerce and Marketing teams to design and execute communications that drive profitable sales, margin and retention across channels and ensures a frictionless customer experience. Additionally, a focus will be on continuous testing and learning and marketing automation to improve the effectiveness of our communications.
Job Requirements
Deliverables:
Develop + own promotion email, SMS and app marketing calendars.
Traffic and project manage all digital assets across channels.
Build segmented audiences to deliver more relevant messaging across channels
Partner with vendor counterparts to ensure execution of key strategies and implementation of new tools
Develop playbooks for optimization tests, refining segmentation campaign reporting and editorial initiatives
Responsible for proofing and approving emails, app pushes and SMS messages
Leverage data to develop consumer retention + acquisition strategies
Monitor and report on performance of key email metrics, including creating “bottoms up” forecast of revenue from email
campaigns
Scope technical requirements for advanced ad-hoc email projects and work with internal teams on implementation and
execution
Stay up to date on best practices and industry trends to constantly find innovative ways to improve the email marketing
department and email campaigns
Ensure that email campaigns are up to date on industry benchmarks and data compliance (CAM-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, CCPA,
etc.)
Collaborate with other departments to develop and execute email marketing strategies and campaigns
Work with product and IT teams to develop and execute on roadmap of functional and technological e-mail marketing
capability enhancements
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or related field of study
Must have prior management experience in an email marketing role; at least 5 years of overall marketing
experience preferred
Experience with ESPs and web analytical tools (Omniture, Google Analytics) required
Proven experience driving email growth through strategic thinking, methodical testing, and robust reporting to
provide key insights and recommendations
Demonstrated analytical, strategic, and project management skills a plus
Able to juggle multiple priorities under pressure and tight deadlines in a fast paced, changing environment
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
