is scaling, and so is our Marketing team! We are looking for a strategic lifecycle marketing leader who will play a vital role in accelerating the realization of our vision - a world where every student graduates, confident and prepared. As the Lifecycle Marketing Lead, you will focus on analyzing all aspects of the user journey for two of our core business loops and develop growth marketing strategies to help us achieve our retention and engagement goals. Your work will start with users’ email journey, eventually expanding into mobile channels (push, SMS, in-app), and will center around creating marketing programs that will engage with existing users and help them uncover more ways in which to leverage Course Hero’s 60 million+ course specific study resources.


The ideal candidate is someone who is analytical and able to think creatively about where, when, and how to engage with our specific user demographics, working cross-functionally to bring these lifecycle marketing strategies and programs to life. Here are some ways you'll make an impact:

  • Craft strategies and drive implementation of lifecycle marketing programs that delight our users and foster engagement through multi-channel experiences (including email, push, in-app, and SMS)
  • Analyze all aspects of our user journey, leveraging insights to develop a strategic roadmap and execute campaigns with a focus on segmentation and content personalization
  • Collaborate with User Research and Business Intelligence teams to help inform experimentation pipeline and implement multivariate A/B test plans in order to optimize program effectiveness
  • Deliver measurable business impact and lift in key performance indicators across channel-oriented metrics
  • Partner with Product Managers and Email & Mobile Marketing Operations to ensure strategic alignment and seamless execution of lifecycle marketing campaigns
  • Consistently measure, report, and educate the Leadership and cross-functional teams of campaign performance, adjusting strategy and content as needed
  • In partnership with technical teams across Product, Engineering and Analytics, continue to explore opportunities to improve our ways of working and engaging with our users, including better tooling, increased automation, and personalization
  • Work closely with the Director of Lifecycle Marketing, VP of Marketing & Partnerships, the Brand team, and the Product team on all department initiatives as needed


Are you our next Lifecycle Marketing Manager?

  • 7+ years of relevant marketing experience preferably in a consumer-facing, digital capacity
  • Demonstrated success in developing and analyzing lifecycle marketing programs, specifically across email campaigns
  • Strategic and analytical thinker, comfortable using platforms like Google Analytics, Amplitude, and Tableau
  • Deep experimentation experience and demeanor with a proven track record of performing A/B tests, translating data into insights, and optimizing program/channel effectiveness
  • Known to be an excellent cross-functional partner who can synthesize needs, gain alignment, and drive initiatives forward in a highly collaborative environment - prior experience working with Product, Data Science and Engineering teams is highly desirable
  • Someone who won’t “sweat the small stuff” and remains cool under pressure, able to respond to both urgent and non-urgent scenarios effectively and shift priorities when necessary
  • Effective communicator regardless of audience, method, and message
  • Subscribes to an “always learning” mentality for themselves and others - gives and receives feedback respectfully, fails forward, and seeks out opportunities for ongoing development
  • Course Hero is a “virtual first” company, meaning that we are primarily able to work outside of the office, however it is required to live within ~50 miles/80 kilometers of one of our hubs: Redwood City, CA, Vancouver, CAN, Toronto, CAN
