Athena Club is looking for a Lifecycle & Email Marketing Senior Associate to design a world-class email program that optimizes for revenue, engagement, and retention. This role will work closely with the Creative and Brand teams to develop a strategy and content for email marketing. This is a channel that we are really excited to scale, and you will play an integral role in building the program from the bottom up!


Responsibilities

  • Own the development of our lifecycle email program from initial concept briefing through QA, asset delivery, and execution
  • Develop triggered email flows and an email campaign calendar that will optimize for revenue, engagement, and retention
  • Produce creative briefs that outline goal, messaging, design considerations, audience segmentation, and testing plan (A/B or other)
  • Oversee delivery of all necessary assets, including copy, design, and product selections
  • Analyze performance of all emails and iterate on the type of content, cadence, and targeting strategies to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Brand, CX, Ops etc.) to support their email needs for wider customer communications
  • Evaluate and establish our strategies to drive email sign-ups across multiple touchpoints
  • Proactively research, identify, and act on new opportunities in the email marketing and lifecycle landscape, such as interactive features, accessibility, personalization, dynamic content, and new channels like SMS


Requirements

  • BA or BS with 3+ years in lifecycle or email marketing, experience at a DTC or subscription-based start-up is a plus
  • Experience with operating and communicating with reps from an ESP such as SendGrid, Klaviyo, Iterable, or Braze
  • Experience with HTML/CSS, or eager to learn more
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy of all copy, links, and designs in various inbox environments
  • Highly organized and take a process-oriented approach to all you do
  • Love for data and have experience with data analysis tools such as Google Analytics, and Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of the requirements for CAN-SPAM compliance as well as the nuances of email compliance in various international regulatory environments (e.g. GDPR, CASL)
