Who We’re Looking For- We are in search of an Email Marketing Specialist, reporting into the Sr. Email Marketing Manager, with the technical chops to lead our email programming efforts, ongoing campaign QA, segmentation selection, and the development of strategic marketing automations. Our email team is charged with increasing the lifetime value of our global customer base. It’s responsible for (1) developing highly engaging Email campaigns that drive conversions while increasing long-term brand loyalty, (2) ongoing testing and optimization, and (3) delivering relevant/targeted email messages based on user behaviors, demographics, and purchase history.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Sr. Email Marketing Manager with programming, testing, scheduling, and reporting of all marketing email campaigns
  • Own end-to-end QA process: Test emails to ensure quality/accuracy with copy, email rendering, links, imagery, and alignment of brand guidelines
  • Ensure all emails are programmed in a timely manner in coordination with our global email calendar timelines
  • Collaborate with the Email team to identify and deploy relevant customer journeys that drive both user engagement and eCommerce conversions.

  • Assist in developing optimal email segmentation strategies that leverage customer data insights (i.e. demographics, customer journeys, purchase behaviors, & marketing preferences)
  • Implement A/B testing, including segmentation, subject lines, creative, and send times
  • Work with the Email team to ensure all required email assets are procured prior to programming; this asset list includes imagery, copy, links, discount if applicable, and audience segmentation
  • Develop documentation and road maps for processes, A/B tests, and promotions that succeed through email
  • Other duties as needed


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of working experience in Email Marketing within an eCommerce environment
  • Experience working with a major ESP - Klaviyo experience a plus
  • Extensive experience programming emails in HTML/CSS (including mobile devices, dark mode, etc.)
  • High proficiency with email database structures, audience segmentation, and customer journeys
  • Strong understanding of email best practices, and email QA requirements including the use of third party testing tools such as Litmus or Email on Acid
  • Highly adept in developing unique customer FLOWs based on user behavior and profile attributes
  • Analytical and able to derive insights through AB testing results, email campaign performance, and subscriber trends
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Asana, Adobe Suite, MS Office or similar, and Shopify a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to meet all deadlines
  • Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to work with multiple teams and platforms
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and display exceptional follow-through and initiative
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
