Purpose of Position

The Email Marketing Specialist, Senior will be responsible for leading the design, implementation and delivery of solutions and technologies within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) to meet NetJets Inc. level marketing goals. The Specialist will be expected to work on multiple projects concurrently, collaborating closely with Marketing contacts as well as the Application Manager and Business Operations Analyst within the Marketing Cloud team to ensure fully functioning and on-time delivery of communications to existing and potential clients. The Specialist will be expected to provide best-in-class technical and strategic solutions and will serve as a platform expert with a deep understanding and knowledge of SFMC.

The ideal candidate will have a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Services, or related partner /consultancy background and would be able to effectively design, test, and deploy software solutions. They will possess a strong command of SFMC and all channel applications within the platform, as well as an interest and expertise in mastering the latest innovations in email marketing, refining processes, and leveraging new offerings from SFMC. A successful Email Marketing Specialist, Senior has strong development experience and enjoys creating technical solutions. Must be an excellent communicator who can tailor their delivery to a variety of audiences.

Tasks And Responsibilities

  • This role will support NetJets Inc. email communications and is responsible for successful build and execution with the support of the MC team. This role will create and improve solutions based on Marketing initiatives and requirements, and will identify risks and present alternative options to improve or resolve
  • Oversee each project from onset through completion (cross department communication) and work with Business Insights & Analytics and CRM Manager to review campaign & email performance to provide thoughtful insights/recommendations
  • Create and maintain Salesforce Marketing Cloud journeys to enhance personalized experiences for both existing and potential customers, personalizing emails with data extensions and AMPscript, and leveraging Salesforce campaigns to capture responses, link tagging, correct referral tags, and implement litmus tagging
  • Obtain/maintain certifications (i.e. Marketing Cloud Email Specialist certification) and trainings with Salesforce as new technologies and upgrades are released
  • In collaboration with internal Marketing Cloud Team:
  • Journey building – ensure appropriate data/settings are in place, building pathways/decision splits, activities, populate content
  • Building data extensions
  • Establish and conduct thorough QA before deployment of all communications
  • Identify gaps between current and desired end-states 
  • Understanding and application of Marketing Cloud offerings that haven’t been leveraged to date 
  • Work with Digital Marketing Performance Manager to prepare and share performance reporting

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud - experience with other Salesforce products (Interaction Studio, Automation Studio, Mobile Studio) is a plus
  • General knowledge of the following: AMPScript, Data Relationships, SQL, HTML, CSS, Email Development, SFMC Journey Builder
  • Basic design skills – demonstrate examples of upholding brand, apply basic design (moving buttons, footers, headers, headlines placement, etc.)
  • Analytical mindset and approach
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented self-starter with desire to learn new skills
  • Ability to manage and adapt to frequent changes
