SQL, an Amazon subsidiary, is looking for an analytical email and content marketer to drive re-engagement and conversion. Keys to success in this role are an ability to create, manage, and analyze daily email campaigns as well as use results to optimize and scale. Additionally, this position is responsible for driving placement on and supporting marketplace initiatives.

This role has responsibility for execution, measurement and reporting of the email channel as a whole. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working closely across functions, strong written communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate with executive stakeholders.


  • Targeting, content creation, and delivery of all Woot! subscription and marketing emails to customers
  • Management of all ongoing lifecycle emails and push notifications
  • Managing Woot’s Email Acquisition program
  • Daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly KPI reporting of all CRM related channels
  • Working with traffic, display and content team for delivering CRM calendar.
  • Coordinating with CRM based channel owners to ensure consistent messaging across multiple platforms
  • Building campaigns, testing and optimizing channels to hit internal KPI goals
  • Developing updates and communication for internal stakeholders
  • Continuous improvements in performance through testing

Basic Qualifications


  • 2+ year experience in email or database marketing in an e-commerce environment
  • Familiarity with using email marketing tools
  • Intermediate proficiency with HTML and CSS required
  • Intermediate skills with photoshop and illustrator
  • Strong understanding in customer lifecycle
  • Strong understanding in cross channel relationships
  • Ability to use excellent business judgement and an ability to think strategically
  • Basic proficiency in excel

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with push notifications
  • Brand marketing experience especially in relation to direct marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or similar field
  • Ability to generate ideas and solve problems independently and consistent with Woot!’s core principles and position in the marketing segment
  • Intermediate proficiency in SQL or ability to learn
  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation and targeting
  • Strong analytical skills with a bias towards understanding customer behavior
