The Email Marketing Specialist is a creative self-starter who's eager to bring their entrepreneurial energy to our marketing team. The ideal candidate can leverage data and email best practices to drive deliverability, open, and engagement rates and can thrive in fast-paced environments. Your ability to report on quantitative KPIs and manage multiple projects at one time will be an asset in your continued growth in an expanding team and organization.

The responsibilities of the Email Marketing Specialist include:

  • Responsible for the design, development, and management of all email campaigns, including but not limited to promotions, calendar and asset planning, list integrity, segmentation, deliverability health, A/B and multivariate testing and content personalization
  • Build and execute the strategy of all email campaigns that support the customer lifecycle (awareness, engagement, conversion, retention, etc.)
  • Develop and execute campaigns for transactional, triggered, and promotional initiatives that increase business KPIs and overall customer LTV
  • Design testing strategies for subject lines, content cadence, and domain and IP deliverability to improve open and engagement rates
  • Uses email marketing concepts and metrics to measure and optimize our email campaigns, to improve open rates, deliverability, click rates, and conversion rates, and to achieve specific business goals
  • Collaborate with creative, content, and SEO stakeholders to develop optimized campaigns
  • Lead email experimentation plans, including testing design and analysis
  • Plan, analyze, and evaluate performance of ongoing campaigns
  • Proactively monitor the deliverability and integrity of emails and lists and quickly address any issues
  • Collaborate with the data team to segment and automate personalization of content
  • Report on engagement and driven value from your campaigns

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of equivalent or combined experience in a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years leading email marketing efforts in a B2B environment, preferably in the FinTech space
  • Proficiency with data management and marketing operations processes, including testing techniques, pulling actionable insights from metrics/analytics, and delivering clear reports for management
  • Experience planning, building, and launching on drip sequence, trigger automations and email automations governed by email marketing best practices
  • A proven track record of improving conversion rates and expanding customers’ accounts through email communication
  • Experience with workflow automation platforms, specifically within HubSpot and Salesforce tech stack
  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
  • Has a strong sense of accountability
  • Efficiency with HTML/CSS and email coding standards

Preferred KSA’s:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of compliancy standards and laws relating to privacy, security and UDAAP
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and change
  • Knowledge of email deliverability pertaining to email service providers (ESP)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism
  • Knowledge of marketing automation platforms and email platforms
