Reporting to the Head of Growth and User Acquisition, you will own all aspects of email marketing to prospects as well as the associated business results. This is a high-impact role, since email marketing is a significant revenue driver for the company, and core to delivering our growth aspirations.

Strategy: Craft a holistic email marketing strategy to maximize engagement and revenue
Marketing automation: Own automation campaigns by building analytically-driven segmentation, designing thoughtful workflows, engaging content, and setting up smart triggers
Subscriber engagement: Deeply engage email subscribers through segment-tailored content, optimize "send" frequency, conversation vs. one-off emails, etc.
Optimize open and click rate: Through the right taxonomy
Omnichannel Integration: Work collaboratively with other business functions including user acquisition, content, social, student operations and more, to enhance program effectiveness
Analytics and insights: Find meaningful information in the data, detect trends, identify opportunities for experiments and outline primary and secondary metrics to track Attribution: Identify linear and non-linear attribution to maximize ROI
Experimentation: Design and run new marketing experiments (including regular A/B tests)
2+ years of email marketing experience, using marketing automation platform Hubspot or other known CRMs
Database knowledge and list building expertise: know how to optimize email lists through best-in-class subscriber acquisition mechanisms such as lead magnets, opt-in tools, etc.
Email hacking capability, and bring a “test and iterate” mindset, especially with non-traditional sources and tools Mobile aptitude, and know the unique nuances of email marketing via mobile
Working knowledge of HTML and Excel (pivot tables and VLookup tools)
Tremendous attention to detail Excellent communication skills(ability to think from a user perspective and craft communication accordingly)
Bonus points if you have:
Experience using Zapier/Typeform - Webhooks Experience using marketing automation platform
Experience with data appends
Experience with Excel, Pivot Tables, etc.
Copywriting/editing skills Two-sided marketplace expertise
