This role would be responsible for ensuring the Marketing Automation/Marketo Strategy is supporting the goals of the organization. This involves the end-to-end management of select email marketing campaigns as well as supporting CMs with their Marketo campaign initiatives. This will require coordinating with other digital channel leads (social media, SEO/web, etc.) and business units (CMs, PMs, sales, RBM) to ensure Marketo is appropriately utilized throughout the full customer journey.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Lead strategy for digital only campaigns - establish campaign goals, KPIs, timeline, resources/project plan, messaging strategy and workflow process
  • Manage each element of email and marketing automation campaigns including setup, targeting, testing, deployment, and data monitoring and occasional creative development
  • Support CMs with email best practices/optimizations for their campaigns
  • Build, test and analyze new customer segments
  • Provide analysis and reporting on campaign performance, channel strategy, and the database/audience growth
  • Continually bring new ideas to the table/find ways to get more value out of Marketo
  • Work with other digital leads to leverage/align our strategies and take advantage of Marketo integrations
  • Develop and implement a thorough testing strategy for email

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience with campaign setup, audience segmentation using "and/or" statement clauses, email deployment, HTML editing, delivery monitoring and reporting.
  • Strong background in using a top tier email service provider - Marketo is a plus
  • Strong understanding of Email HTML and Email sequel query (And/Or Statements) for audience segmentation to build email waterfall programs or automated drip campaigns
  • Basic understanding of direct marketing best practices, including email best practices and industry standards, CAN-SPAM laws, content creation, list management and targeting, knowledge of dynamic content and campaign automation.
