The Email Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing marketing email and direct mail campaigns to promote services and products across all Pathway hospitals and parent brand. This position will be part of the Channel and Services Team and reports to the Senior Channel Marketing Director and assists the Clinic Marketing Team in achieving its strategic goals and daily deliverables.


Job Responsibilities


Email Management (60%)

  • Manage overall email channel implementation, maintenance, and execution. Collaborates with internal team members and agency as needed on email execution
  • List management
  • Light design in HTML
  • QA for grammar, spelling, clarity, proofs
  • Work with graphic designer to update and improve email designs, to improve CTA and click-through rate
  • Ensure email strategy follows best practices, company policies, and CAN SPAM Act
  • Campaigns examples:
  • Practice emails
  • National programs/drip campaigns
  • Newsletters
  • Ad-hoc promotions
  • Evites
  • Health reminders
  • Additional marketing campaigns as needed


Direct Mail/SMS (20%)

  • Manage the overall direct mail program in collaboration with an agency
  • Manage and execute SMS communications
  • List management
  • QA for grammar, spelling, clarity, proofs
  • Work with agency to update and improve designs
  • Ensure direct mail strategy follows best practices
  • Campaigns example:
  • New customer acquisition
  • Customer retention
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce effective promotional campaigns
  • Collaborate with agency partners, such as ad agencies, PR agencies, etc.


Data Management/Reporting (15%)

  • Collaborate with Marketing Business Analyst to track email and direct mail performance (including CPC); proactively report on email findings and suggest improvements as applicable
  • Review current data reporting processes and offer suggestions when applicable


Misc. (5%)

  • Create marketing presentations for stakeholders
  • Help with marketing requests and tickets as needed
  • Write email or SMS copy as needed


Education And Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related fields
  • Experience as a channel manager: 3+ years
  • Experience in email marketing: 3+ years
  • Experience in direct mail marketing: 3+ years
  • Proficiency in Marketo preferred, (including setting up campaigns, optimizing designs, smart lists, A/B test, data reporting, landing page set up)
  • Proficiency in HTML
  • In-depth understanding of data analytics, reporting on email performance and reporting strategy enhancement
  • Strong project management skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple internal requests simultaneously
  • Proactive and consistent communication and facilitation skills to build relationships and foster trust at all organizational levels
  • A commitment to outstanding client service and collaboration
  • Ability to analyze various sources of data to establish priorities and initiate operational programs
  • Passion for pets and their health and well-being
