We're looking for an experienced and dedicated email marketer and innovative thinker with deep knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). In this role, you will work alongside the VP of Marketing, Director of Demand Generation, and others, serving as a strategic partner and leader within the marketing team and throughout the organization to head innovation that inspires change and develops new communications strategies. This role is responsible for helping research, design, develop, and analyze strategies and solutions to meet business needs. Expect to handle and attain partner and leadership relations and buy-in to ensure deliverables are on schedule.


  • Lead our Email Marketing & CRM strategy and implement high-impact initiatives across the customer lifecycle that accelerates customer growth, sales, and revenue generation
  • Responsible for email marketing automation (e.g., creating and segmenting lists, A/B and multivariate testing, and building, scheduling, and deploying campaigns) to drive conversions (e.g., webinar registration and attendance, ecomm and micro sales) to achieve targets
  • Lead data governance, ensuring all marketing data captured is in compliance with consumer privacy laws, e.g., GDPR & CCPA, CAN-SPAM and other regulations
  • Stay up to date and lead the strategy and execution of email deliverability (especially Gmail) and health
  • Define and develop new tools, technologies and efficiencies to drive marketing initiatives
  • Provide input on marketing technology roadmap for the organization
  • Analyze business needs to figure out innovative solutions while supporting strategy and implementation
  • Think strategically as a creative problem solver, while exercising strong communication of objectives, demonstration of collaboration, and success in team-building and mentoring
  • Evaluate new relevant marketing technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize Marketing/Sales performance
  • Evolve the existing architecture and software applications in various areas as needed.
  • Independently identify and analyze risks/problems related to marketing technology and customer data, recommend solutions to senior leadership
  • Support systems integrations between marketing & sales systems including but not limited to SFSC, SFMC, GoTo, CallFire and funnel building software, such as ClickFunnels.
  • Define and report on key performance indicators for platform operations, system usage, and user adoption/efficiency/satisfaction
  • Collect, prioritize, and partner with Platform Technology to implement new marketing technology features based on user feedback, customer behavior, and market trends.
  • Ensure marketing technology systems are in complete compliance with the latest government regulations and company policies
  • Define and measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) from products developed -- this includes reporting out on wins and opportunities
  • Lead and direct different cross-functional programs and projects of varied sizes and types concurrently
  • Provide technical leadership/mentoring to various members of the team to train teams and distribute new products within the organization
  • Help manage and prioritize multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables between cross-functional teams
  • Collect data and/or reports on innovation initiatives to leadership as requested
  • Work closely with leadership to ensure an inspiring, creative, open and productive environment
  • Additional duties as assigned


  • Proven track record as a email marketer in B2C Financial Education, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), FinTech, or EduTech products
  • Ideally 3-5 years of experience in email marketing, as well as an understanding of and appreciation for how performance marketing and brand-building initiatives work together
  • Experience building email marketing journeys and reporting on the results
  • Strong understanding and innovation when it comes to email deliverability (especially Gmail)
  • Strong analytical abilities with a passion for data-informed decision making
  • Strong understanding of digital and direct response marketing
  • Demonstrated experience building marketing and customer acquisition infrastructure
  • Growth hacker mentality with a bias for action
  • Experience with website analytic tools including Google Analytics, HotJar or Optimizely
  • B2C marketing experience is a plus


  • Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully and creatively
  • Proficiency in CRM and marketing automation technologies (Salesforce Sales Cloud and Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Validity Everest Platform and other email deliverability tools
  • Experience with DKIM, SPF, Dmarc certifications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Competence as a creative writer with an eye for great emails and landing pages
  • Strong problem-solving ability, including metrics-driven thinking
  • High-level proficiency in Google Suite and tools and MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to travel as necessary
