Position Summary The primary role of the Email Marketing Manager position will be to lead our email / marketing automation efforts. Will manage the planning, execution, and analysis of daily email campaigns. Working directly with the design, studio and creative teams to coordinate the development of high-quality content while tracking engagement and transactions.


Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for development of our marketing automation initiatives
  • Manage and optimize the entire email campaign process while balancing the strategic priorities of both new customer acquisition and existing customer growth
  • Drive development and execution of strategy across email, including promotional, automated, and segmented/customized campaigns using our Acoustic email platform (formerly IBM Marketing Cloud platform)
  • Work with designers and copywriter on email campaign creation and communicate with purchasing team to determine product inventory
  • Strategize and arrange email photo shoots with creative and design team as needed.
  • Develop quality, full lifecycle programs that are relevant and appealing to various target audiences
  • Assess and communicate customer profiles
  • Leverage data to identify key touch points where email communications can influence engagement, conversions, retention, and increased lifetime value
  • Utilize A/B testing to continuously optimize subject lines, content and segmentation based on email performance metrics such as open rate, click-through-rate, and list growth
  • Manage key data fields and integration between our CRM and marketing automation systems and develop dashboards with key performance indicators to monitor how email is performing against goals
  • Implement and maintain automated and standardized reports
  • Develop email calendar in alignment with the Living Spaces promotional calendar
  • Define best practices and set measurable objectives
  • Optimize existing campaigns and brainstorm out-of-the-box ideas for driving increased performance


Qualifications

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college in Marketing, Business Administration, English, Communications or related field. 3-5 years of experience in e-commerce email marketing with working knowledge of html. Proven analytical skills with strong grasp of database management, query development, and reporting. Experience with various email marketing platforms, including Bronto, Listrak, or Acoustic. Experience with triggered email programs (Bluecore formerly Triggermail). Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.


Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and some form of project management software like Basecamp, JIRA, Pivotaltracker, or Workfront.
