We're looking for a remote Email Marketing Manager to support our team. The ideal candidate will creatively solve problems developing and executing automated lifecycle marketing journeys and one-off campaigns across all channels to increase subscriber growth and retention. They'll be driving growth, launching and monitoring experiments designed to impact user retention, engagement, and product development. They'll be constantly learning about key engagement and churn indicators, and leverage data to continuously strive for personalization at every touchpoint. They'll be radically candid when collaborating with cross-functional teams on user journeys, from onboarding to inviting friends. They'll own the process of developing customer segmentation, targeting and contact strategies to maximize performance of key subscriber segments.

Intrinsically, you understand how the internet is rapidly growing and evolving. You'll spend many of your days creating and scaling end-to-end omnichannel programs (email, push, SMS) across customer lifecycle stages. Other days, you'll be contributing your deep marketing experience in a high growth startup, with direct experience in lifecycle marketing. You will:

  • Define and lead our multifaceted lifecycle marketing strategy across multiple web properties with a heavy emphasis on affiliate marketing
  • Develop and execute automated lifecycle marketing journeys and one-off campaigns across all channels to increase subscriber growth and retention
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on user journeys, from onboarding to inviting friends
  • Design communications and notifications to encourage more usage and distribution
  • Develop customer segmentation, targeting and contact strategies to maximize performance of key subscriber segments
  • Consistently launch and monitor experiments designed to impact user retention, engagement, and product development
  • Work with the Analytics and Data Engineering team to highlight key engagement and churn indicators, and leverage data to continuously strive for personalization at every touchpoint
  • Set objectives and proactively measure and communicate results to the wider organization


You should be ready to:

  • Develop A/B testing to drive results
  • Demonstrate how your previous experience likely in a high growth startup, with direct experience in lifecycle marketing drives results early on
  • Create and scale end-to-end omnichannel programs (email, push, SMS) across customer lifecycle stages
  • Write a lot with a heavy emphasis on strong CTAs
  • Utilize CRM tools like Hubspot, email platforms, SMS nuances and analytics tools
  • Craft marketing personas and targeting them with personalized content
  • Explore and leverage previous utilizing SQL, HTML, and CSS
