Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist

The Email and Relationship Marketing Manager will lead all digital customer communication efforts through Arhaus’ email, SMS, and browser notification mediums. This role will develop a premiere brand experience for customers through the same channels, optimizing based on each customer’s behavior. Additionally, this role will have a strong connection with Arhaus’ internal CRM team, collaborating on customer identification and segmentation efforts. The ideal candidate will be a data driven individual with a very strong analytical background.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as internal expert in customer communication strategies with a primary focus on email
  • Develop holistic communication strategies taking into account each customer’s step in their purchase journey as well as preferred/optimal mediums for messaging
  • Own Email Content Calendar including broadcast, triggered, and lifecycle emails
  • Act as internal Salesforce Marketing Cloud expert specifically related to Email Studio as well as Analytics, Journey, Content, Personalization, and Audience Builders. Ensure Marketing Cloud data feeds are set up and functioning properly, and continually updated
  • Collaborate with Design and Copy teams to optimize creative for each message being delivered
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of all outgoing communications with clear messaging and the Arhaus brand as top considerations
  • Manage an Email Marketing Specialist ensuring execution of day-to-day tasks as well as promoting their career development
  • Maintain both executive-level and detailed reports to inform internal teams on program healthiness and future opportunities
  • Create and optimize multiple email series including, but not limited to, welcome/onboarding series, transactional emails, cart abandonment, browse abandonment, key product focus, promotional messaging, and post-purchase retention
  • Manage internal relationships between Marketing, Analytics, Data, Internal Salesforce, and External Salesforce teams optimizing and managing day-to-day for our programs
  • Build strong partnership with CRM Team collaborating on audience identification, customer segment creation, and program optimizations
  • Partner closely with our Director of CRM, and be knowledgeable of all Direct Mail strategies and campaigns to ensure digital recommendations align with overall business
  • Partner with CRM team to grow the size of Arhaus’ customer database
  • Develop cases for A/B Testing opportunities to optimize performance
  • Review competitor’s email campaigns, reporting back on best in breed to the internal teams
  • Keep abreast of trends and technology developments within the digital communications space



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in Email and Relationship Marketing, retail/e-commerce experience a plus
  • Must be Salesforce Marketing Cloud expert
  • Expertise in utilizing online analytics tools. Google Analytics preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Detail oriented individual ensuring accuracy of messaging on all communications
  • Demonstrated ability to ideate, develop, and execute customer communication strategies
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset and ability to lead projects both independently and within a team setting
  • Strong analytical skills in reviewing both hard (sales performance) and soft (creative review) data points
