The Email Marketing Manager will partner with the existing eCommerce and Marketing teams to leverage the email channel to amplify company initiatives and help deliver on financial objectives. This role will be responsible for driving brand and product awareness, traffic and engagement and prospect acquisition, as well as corresponding analytics, including targeting, creative execution, promotional testing and program reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop program strategy, goals, KPI's, and tactics roadmap.
  • Drive innovation to enroll, engage, and retain customers via new, effective levers.
  • Drive optimization of the program(s) by testing into deeper personalization and strategic content variations. Communicate results and implement actionable insights, in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Actively monitor the competitive landscape and industry standards; and rapidly integrate best practices.
  • Partner with external agencies and oversee internal talent to ensure day-to-day planning and execution are on track and in alignment with broader Corporate strategy.
  • Validate proper execution of email database to ensure optimal deliverability. Identify data flow gaps impacting sales performance, and quickly resolve in partnership with technical teams.
  • Create and present program performance and financial forecast to senior leadership.
  • Maintain excellent external vendor relationships.
  • Develop and nurture strong cross functional partnerships; driving business results and inspiring a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability
  • Stay abreast of digital content and marketing industry trends and make recommendations for content strategy and development to most effectively market and drive business
  • Provides oversight, coaching and guidance to junior-level staff


  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Digital technologies or similar relevant field
  • 5+ years experience managing email programs
  • 2+ years managing people - both individual contributors and teams / projects
  • Proven ability to drive measurable results through customer marketing efforts, preferably in an ecommerce environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience with attribution methodologies and analytics software (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Tableau). Ability to convert data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to forecast program performance and build basic financial modeling.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with ability to effectively direct and prioritize work for self and team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present to executive and senior leadership.
  • Ability to effectively influence and negotiate.
  • Proficient knowledge of HTML processing, CSS, RPL, AmpScript, and JavaScript required
  • Working knowledge of advanced AND/OR logic and database querying such as SQL
  • Working knowledge of email best practice regarding deliverability & user experience
  • Firm understanding of CAN-SPAM Act and other relevant laws and regulations
