The Email Marketing Coordinator is responsible for executing, managing, analyzing, and iterating on engagement marketing tactics across email, SMS, and direct mail. This role is focused first and foremost on the customer, working on driving lifetime value and retention revenue.  


You are a self-starter that is responsible for engagement programs and strategies that drive increased customer retention and engagement. You support the daily execution of marketing emails, SMS, and direct mail as well as drive subscriber acquisition. You track key customer and channel metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and share insights and recommendations on channel optimizations with the marketing team. You react to changing business needs by modifying plans and being agile with tactics and strategies both effectively and efficiently.


Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Build, deploy, and measure email, SMS, and direct mail campaigns (newsletters, automated triggers, behavioral emails, sign up deployments) 
  • Optimizing our subscriber audiences, event based email triggers, and lifecycle email flows
  • Run comprehensive, measurable email/SMS A/B tests
  • Implement email/SMS strategy surrounding segmentation, personalization, and branding
  • Reporting and analyzing engagement channel performance and finding areas to improve or test
  • Enhance our customer lifecycle marketing initiatives by presenting marketing and design teams with innovative ways to nurture and retain customers, reduce churn, and improve LTV
  • Build and manage cross channel retention triggers and flows in the customer data platform
  • Analyze customer data and build an established framework for measuring LTV
  • Create, deploy, measure, and iterate on direct mail campaigns
  • Execute customer lifecycle marketing plans that encompass email capture, email behavior, email drip campaigns, text notifications


Email is an extremely successful and important retention channel for our company and as such will be the defining responsibility for this role. As such, you have:

  • Working knowledge of ESPs
  • Comfortability with HTML and email tech, including email automation
  • A quant-savvy mindset
  • Experience in executing a robust engagement program 
  • An ability to work and collaborate effectively as part of an agile team
  • Experience in A/B testing and segmentation
