Position Summary

The Email Marketing Coordinator plays a critical role in executing outbound marketing programs that drive lead generation and overall communication to our agents in the field. Key responsibilities include end-to-end development and deployment of e-mail marketing programs, creation of lead-focused e-mail offers, A/B testing, landing page development, social media amplification, campaign reporting, marketing calendar management, and project management. This position reports to the Senior Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will not only be well-versed in e-mail marketing best practices but will also manage multiple projects across the marketing spectrum simultaneously and with a client-service mindset.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Project manage all email marketing initiatives and related marketing campaigns (print, digital, social) and maintain the e-mail marketing calendar
  • Interface with various stakeholders across the company to turn marketing and campaign plans into actionable e-mail marketing programs
  • Develop and deploy email campaigns including pulling and preparing lists, creating compelling HTML emails, proofing/testing, sending, and tracking performance
  • Consistently work to improve deliverability, in-boxing, email open, and click rates
  • Manage the company database to keep leads fresh
  • Enhance and communicate e-mail marketing best practices
  • Schedule, post, respond, and engage on GarityAdvantage social media sites
  • Set-up, promote and manage marketing webinars using the firm’s dedicated webinar solution
  • Research industry competitors and stay up-to-date on developments in the senior insurance marketplace
  • Support departmental projects as assigned


  • Must have direct knowledge and experience in email marketing and overall campaign development
  • Creative design capabilities a big plus including ideation, concept development and digital design ability
  • Knowledge of marketing mix and best practices to ensure plans drive to objectives
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Effective communicator able to collaborate across organization
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment
  • A quick study on new and changing software.
  • Creative thinker with a relentless attention to detail
  • Extremely strong writing skills and proofreading abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks on deadline
  • Self-starter and quick-learner with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility

  • 3+ years of marketing, creative and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Solid proficiency in MS Excel and data management strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with office systems and computers, including the rest of MS Office: Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Creative/design experience a big plus including proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with marketing automation tools (e.g. Constant Contact, Hubspot, Marketo, SharpSpring, etc), Google Analytics, website authoring and content management systems (e.g. Wordpress) a plus.
  • Social media experience with LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.
  • Medicare experience/knowledge preferred, but not required
