About the role:

VaynerCommerce is looking for a passionate and experienced email growth marketing associate to own all things Email and SMS. This role will be well versed in DTC sales via the email and sms channels, and will be responsible for planning and executing the email/sms marketing strategy. The growth marketing associate will assist the Marketing Manager by creating briefs, building emails and analyzing/reporting on data. Our ideal candidate is creative, collaborative, data-driven, and an email/sms marketing wiz.

What you’ll do:

  • Analyze and monitor email/sms performance for up to 3 clients on an ongoing basis
  • Clearly and concisely report on daily, weekly and monthly learnings
  • Draw learnings from performance metrics and provide strategic recommendations to improve performance
  • Utilize Google Analytics to monitor, track and report on data
  • Keep data organized in excel (pivot tables) and google sheets
  • Manage a highly visible email/sms marketing program - build/QA campaigns and identify target audiences
  • Plan, schedule and deploy email and sms campaigns daily
  • AB test different metrics and provide recommendations drawn from findings
  • Present briefs and reporting decks to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Idealite and curate email/sms briefs for creative teams
  • Use learnings from past performance to guide new creative concepts and campaign ideas
  • Review creative development and provide feedback to cross-functional teams
  • Report on best practices and complete competitive analyses

What you’ll need:

  • 2-3 years of experience in an email role with a brand or agency with a focus on DTC eCommerce.
  • Experience with CRM tools (Retention Science and Attentive preferred but not required)
  • Expert in building, QAing and deploying Emails and SMS
  • Deep understanding of email KPIs, metrics, and reporting
  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, A/B testing, audience segmentation and targeting
  • Strong analytical skills (comfortable presenting and pulling learnings from data)
  • Experience using data analysis tools (Google Analytics, Excel)
  • Strong copywriting, editing, and campaign brief building skills
  • Excellent presenter with strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail, with ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks while hitting deadlines
  • Ambitious self-starter who takes initiative and has a no-job too small attitude!
