Change.org is searching for an Email Engagement Specialist to help maintain an email production workload for the Canada team & execute on tactics to meet team, email engagement, and conversion goals by working with numerous stakeholders and moving pieces.

We're a social impact business (a public benefit company), and the largest tech platform focused on civic action in the world with 50m monthly users, 50,000 campaigns launched on the site every month, hundreds of millions of signatures per year, 200 staff members, and a new revenue model that has grown by 500% in 2 years. We are profitable, growing fast, and executing on a plan to deepen and scale the social movements on our platform, from strengthening hate crime legislation in South Africa, to bringing down the price of insulin across the United States, to fighting corruption in Indonesia, Italy, and Brazil. We are seeing surging levels of activity right now as the world mobilizes to fight the Coronavirus and the cascading impacts of the Coronavirus on society's most vulnerable.

We are looking for an Email Engagement Specialist who is great at effective email production, user engagement & storytelling, and implementing creative digital solutions. A strong sense of adaptability, a commitment to openness and an analytic sense are important as well as a passion for expanding our platform to mobilize hundreds of millions of people to take deeper civic action.

Ideally, you will work remotely within the Central or Eastern Time Zone, and you will report to our ‎Senior Director of Digital Engagement as a key member of our North America Engagement team.

Key Outcomes

Develop new email campaigns and identify opportunities to improve existing campaigns

Participate in copywriting, optimization, petition starter outreach, multivariate testing, and in-house email set up

Conduct quality assurance testing and ensure work is 99% error-free

Impact audience cultivation and user engagement growth

Create high-quality design solutions that deliver user and business value

Propose, execute, and report on email experiments and analyze complex email metric data sets

The most important skills and capabilities for the role are:

EMAIL PRODUCTION: You lead on the execution of email experiments. You understand industry best practices to email list management and proactively make suggestions on ways the team can achieve its email goals.

USER ENGAGEMENT & STORYTELLING: You're able (and excited by the opportunity!) to write content that drives action and brand affinity. You look for opportunities to tell stories on a variety of issues and issue areas.

COMMITMENT TO OPENNESS: You understand that Change.org is an open platform with clear policy guidelines to ensure user safety.

ANALYTIC SENSE: You are comfortable working with spreadsheets and adept at using both qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate program success and make recommendations to improve performance across audiences and content themes.

CREATIVE SOLUTIONS: You have a depth of experience outside of email expertise (example: social media, SMS, webinars) which you're able to then contribute to new and developing team tactics and tools.

ADAPTABILITY: You contribute to culture that embraces change, modeling a tone of resilience amidst iterative goals, structures, systems and culture. You display successful task prioritization when there are competing priorities, and you are efficient at adjusting to regular changes in workload.

Additional capabilities we'll consider:

Experience using CRMs and other tools to execute digital engagement campaigns. Change.org uses a custom platform; experience with any of the following would be helpful: Everyaction/ActionKit, ActBlue, Blue State Digital, ActionNetwork, NationBuilder, Mailchimp, etc.

French language fluency (reading, writing, and/or speaking)

Interested? Great! Here's what you should know:
