Summary


This role is responsible for creating and implementing email and marketing strategy for Carhartt, collaborating on data integration and delivering personalized emails that drive engagement and revenue for Carhartt.com and Carhartt retail stores. The role’s focus is to strategically develop, maintain, and guide the growth of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) platform to drive consumer satisfaction, engagement and sales conversion for the D2C business. This person will develop and implement integrated, creative and effective digital campaigns to support marketing strategies in a cross-functional environment and use strategic analysis to understand and optimize performance.

Responsibilities


Scope, build and manage consumer-oriented email and marketing programs that leverage and build upon consumer generated and third-party expert (e.g. Media) material

Work with marketing, IT and other business units to define marketing requirements and translate those requirements into functional campaigns that integrate with our digital marketing channels and use data made available by internal partners

Provide SFMC development that can scale across many use cases, platforms and channels, including, but not limited to, email, SMS and loyalty integrations.

Understand and collaborate on available data sources/data structure and develop data segmentation strategies to effectively communicate with marketing team’s ideal target audience

Partner with the analytics and IT teams and use digital analytics/web tools to track user experiences and make changes to optimize the customer journey (including list growth and customer retention), maximize conversion and improve engagement KPI’s.

Plan, execute, publish, measure and analyze email performance, list health and journey performance adopting a “test and learn” approach to campaign design to establish consumer driven best practices.

Facilitate ongoing maintenance and expansion and partner with the development team to troubleshoot technological issues

Plan and manage the implementation of new functionality or enhancements; lead the onboarding of new tools and platforms

Provide regular updates and KPIs to senior management on progress in implementing consumer experience initiatives and overall results.

Produce, maintain and distribute comprehensive, clear, and accurate user documentation for all processes and operational considerations

Develop, manage and execute projects, budgets and timelines for area of responsibility.

Continually perform competitive analysis of email marketing best practices/trends.


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Required in Related Field or Marketing
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree


Required Skills And Experience


5+ years direct experience building solutions on the SFMC (or similar) platform: Cloud Pages, Smart Forms, Web Collect, Collect Tracking, Email Studio, Social Studio, Journey Builder, Mobile Studio, Automation studio

Proficient in Marketing cloud connector, data extensions, integration with external systems (API) and knowledge of DMP and data integration

Experience with HTML and CSS necessary, knowledge of AMPScript, XML, GTL desirable, though not required.

Knowledge of responsive email/web design and various forms of online marketing including mobile, social, content preferred

Proven database experience writing queries in SQL/SOQL/SOSL

Basic Salesforce administrative functions including process builder, triggers and workflow knowledge is desirable. Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications including Marketing Cloud Developer and Marketing Cloud Email Specialist a plus

Effective project planning and task management skills to drive and complete multiple tasks preferred; must have the ability to communicate with both business and technical individuals effectively

Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to team members

Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, including a strong commitment to follow-up, follow-through, collaborate with cross-functional teams and a sense of urgency.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-ptent, email, etc. aced, deadline-driven environment.

Proven analytical, problem solving and creative thinking skills with the ability to interpret and translate data into actionable proposals.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Apparel, Retail, or D2C experience preferred.
