The Design Systems Team is passionate about building the toolkit, the process, and the infrastructure that connects world-class experiences across Zillow products. We are a multi-functional team, responsible for upholding a high level of quality and expressing the Zillow brand. We manage the Email Design System, allowing engineers, designers, product and marketing teams to solve problems and build high-quality experiences, faster, and at scale. The Design Systems team sits within Zillow Experience Design (ZxD), a fast-paced, collaborative, and driven product design team. We’re a tight-knit, fun-loving, and upbeat group.
We are looking for someone who can help us empower our partner teams by expanding and supporting our Email Design System.
About The Role
Are you someone who gets excited about diving into the world of email development? Does ‘beating’ Outlook make your day? Then we are looking for you! Zillow Group is looking for an Email Developer who can support the expansion of our custom Email Design System that supports our Zillow Group’s products.
We’re looking for someone who approaches email design and development systematically, thinks mobile-first and has a strong understanding of best practices for email development. You’ll be working directly with our Email Dev lead, supporting multiple project initiatives including module creation and maintenance for our Email Design System, plus helping to build new designs and campaigns for Operational email initiatives.
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.
In Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada and New York City the standard base pay range for this role is $111,700.00 - $178,400.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada and New York City and may not be applicable to other locations.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
Who you are
- Ability to code and edit responsive emails utilizing HTML/CSS
- Familiarity with testing emails in Litmus or Email on Acid
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve email rendering issues
- Familiarity with Taxi for Email or similar WYSIWYG building tool experience, e.g. leveraging ESP internal builders, building for WordPress or equivalent
- Familiarity or experience working in an ESP
- Familiarity with Iterable and Pardot
- Familiarity with Dark Mode in email
- Familiarity with Accessibility in email
- Experience in visual design
