The Email Developer supports the email production team by designing and architecting Salesforce Marketing cloud implementations for the daily email marketing programs. This team member will execute special projects with internal stakeholders by integrating technology and optimizing the daily deployment operations. As the subject matter expert, you will be expected to create a strong foundation, internalize our email marketing and transactional email program, help team members develop necessary skillsets and understand campaign specialist tasks, and create operational efficiencies leveraging the tools and technology available.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Document technical account setup and audit tooling surrounding campaign deployment processes
  • Provide guidance and train production team on basic SFMC capabilities and deployment best practices
  • Develop HTML inline emails and email templates using responsive design HTML/CSS, media queries and AMPScript
  • Create send definitions, send interactions, data extensions and filters
  • Liaison and work closely with SFMC partners on special projects, including transactional and triggered journeys and other third-party integrations utilizing APIs
  • Create, edit, and maintain subscriber lists and data extensions
  • Implement segmentation, personalization, and dynamic content
  • Optimize deployment process to respond to business needs in an agile way
  • Assist digital production analysts and marketing in tracking and resolving customer experiences issues related to campaign setup (audience files, segmentation, data)
  • Develop insights on customer and business dynamics through metrics and drive to productive action
  • Apply campaign performance feedback into workflow and segmentation testing
  • A strong sense of visual and graphic design to create conceptual and practical email designs
  • Maintain high standards in work created and ensure only the best work is shared following effective QA
  • Requires some remote on-call flexibility outside of normal office hours
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with web service integration (REST/SOAP)
  • Experience with creating dynamic email content with HTML AMPscript
  • Experience developing and implementing complex automations
  • Experience with data protection within a CRM
  • Advanced experience with SQL, SSJS, HTML/CSS, AMPscript
  • Advanced experience in evaluating and drafting reports based on email sends
  • Advanced SQL experience to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
  • Expert experience in preference center management and email subscriber list best practices
  • Data management experience within a CRM
  • Proficiency with HTML for email with experience in email coding best practices and optimization for each email client

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only:

The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
