Together, We Can Make a Difference: Parks Project takes the concept of giving back to nature and applies a dash of environmental social enterprise. As a for-profit business, we use the sale of an array of apparel and accessories to connect consumers with park conservancies. Each product purchased contributes directly to one of over 30 different conservancies across the USA, providing vital funding for the ongoing care of National Parks.


The Big Picture: Parks Project is seeking an experienced professional with 3-5 years’ experience to lead email marketing which is the most important growth and brand channel for eCommerce. This position is a bug between commerce, brand, growth and general communication. The ability to work well cross-functionally, clearly communicate a point of view and to make decisive decisions after listening to diverse feedback is paramount in the success of the role.


Email Marketing:

  • Work alongside Brand Manager; Growth Manager and Ecommece lead to develop a comprehensive email strategy that drives revenue and communicates the brand story and “give back”. The latter needs to be a careful balance between the commercial and the social.
  • Balance strong campaign development and implementation with ‘always on flows”.
  • Develop a robust segmentation strategy to further optimize regionalization, demographics, and purchasing patterns.
  • Develop a sound A/B testing strategy to optimize subject lines, CTA, Colors, and various designs to continuously iterate based on data.
  • Develop a sound comprehensive email acquisition strategy from paid to social and collaborations to reach ½ million quality emails within 12 months (X2)
  • Drive all KPI’s from revenue (as a % to total), to Acquisition rate, OR, CTR, Conv as well as Unsubscribe.
  • Further optimize our relationship with Klaviyo to tap into all the features and products being launched by our partner.


SMS Marketing:

  • Develop a clear SMS strategy that will sit alongside our email strategy and will aim to enhance it.
  • Develop targeted SMS campaigns that are complementary and accretive to our email campaigns.
  • Segment SMS to be targeted to our younger demographic which has implications of frequency, content, and timing.
  • Provide analysis that continues to show the complementary nature of each channels.
  • Focus on SMS acquisition via Pop up, paid and social
  • Report on all KPI’s from % to revenue goals to OR, CT and Conversions.

The Stuff that Makes U You:

  • 3 - 5 years of email marketing management experience in a fast-paced brand.
  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Strong project management skills; highly organized and capable of effective, efficient multi-tasking and time management
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • A balanced mind between the analytical and the creative
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and must be able to effectively present information to others
  • Passion for mission-driven commerce and endeavors
  • Proficient computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint 
  • Passion for the outdoors a plus but not a requirement.
