Nature and Scope of Position

  • Ownership of the global email marketing strategy, with key focus on driving growth through innovation and clearly defined KPI’s.  
  • Work alongside the ecommerce trading manager to define localised and highly relevant marketing campaigns to support seasonal priorities and launches. 
  • Responsible for driving retention of new customers through targeted lifecycle campaigns, employing best in class tools to ensure the journeys are personalised and relevant.  
  • Working with key stakeholders to propose email strategy for elevating the onsite experiences and work with the Performance Marketing Manager to ensure all marketing campaigns have a 360 approach.  
  • Responsible for the implementation of our personalisation strategy working closely with trading to ensure that the on-site customer journey is as relevant as the content leading them to site.
  • Ownership of our customer data and responsible for constantly evolving our view of this, while employing strategies to increase the retention and lifetime value of our customer groups.
  • Responsible for analysis of email marketing campaigns using Google analytics and ESP data to report back to the wider ecommerce team on a regular basis.  
  • Ownership of triggered programs including new initiatives, optimisations and analysis. 
  • Working closely with the marketing team on brand strategy, goals and digital marketing developments ensuring a unified multi-channel approach. 
  • Analysis of sales and competitor data to inform short to mid-term planning and eCommerce strategy decisions.  
  • Looking for new business opportunities and presenting recommendations to Head of Digital Marketing and wider business for review.
  • Responsible for supporting the offline marketing team in ensuring all global campaigns are aligned to the wider business strategy, while supporting individual market needs. 
  • Conduct continual analysis of customer retention and site data for all ecommerce marketing campaigns and use data and insights to continually refine and optimise. 
  • Work with Legal & IT to ensure GDPR requirements & requests are met. 

Experience & Skills Required 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, business, or other related field 
  • Proven marketing experience within an ecommerce retail environment or luxury brand 
  • Previous experience working with third party marketing agencies and email service providers 
  • Incredibly strong attention to detail 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use data to develop and measure marketing campaigns. You must be very comfortable using data to make recommendations and drive decisions 
  • Strong, energetic character able to positively communicate strategic ideas and adapt to changing requirements effectively 
  • Ability to adhere to budgets and deliver exceptional results within a fast-paced retail environment  
  • Good understanding of cross browser and email compatibility needs 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills 
  • Exceptional organisational skills required 
  • Excellent Google Analytics skills 
  • Previous Team management experience
