Title:

Director of Email Marketing/Marketing Cloud Product


Reports to:

Vice President of E-Commerce


Overview:

The Director of Email Marketing / Marketing Cloud Product will be responsible for developing, managing, executing and analyzing program effectiveness for acquisition, commercial and retention email campaigns to support David Yurman’s direct-to-consumer retail channels. This individual will also serve as the product owner for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, managing new feature development and operational support in partnership with our third-party vendor.


Campaign Strategy & Analysis

  • Serve as lead on key enhancements such as trigger based email programs, win back campaigns, reactivation campaigns, retargeting campaigns, etc.
  • Work with CRM team to segment data for targeted email campaigns
  • Analyze and report on all campaign results
  • Ensure KPIs are being met
  • Maintain formal process to update and share findings with marketing team and other stakeholders
  • Provide insights on best practices, trends, and program enhancements
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and uncover opportunities

Campaign Deployment

  • Oversee daily execution of all email campaigns
  • Manage marketing calendar
  • Ensure that emails are consistent with overall brand and sales objectives
  • Traffic creative assets
  • Manage the campaign set-up and approval process
  • Ensure accurate and on-time campaign delivery

Acquisition

  • Grow opt-in email list
  • Develop new acquisition strategies
  • Monitor and report referral traffic from display, social, SEO, and affiliate partners to analyze conversion effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
  • Monitor churn and attrition rates

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Computer Science, Education, Project Management, Business/Administration, Engineering, Technology or related areas of study required
  • 7-10 years of experience working in the email channel, retail preferred
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams including creative, CRM, e-commerce, merchandising, and external email service provider
  • Subject matter expertise with Salesforce Marketing Cloud required
  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Service Cloud a plus
  • Knowledge of key email fundamentals: CAN-SPAM compliance, deliverability, testing methodologies, list segmentation, etc.
  • Strong project, analytical, communication and time management skills
  • Ability to identify and translate goals and objectives into strategies, plans and tactics
  • Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate diplomacy and tact while interacting with all levels within and outside of the organization
  • Experience with web analytics tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
