The person
This is a great opportunity for someone interested in working at the forefront of digital marketing, utilising some of the latest technology in customer journey orchestration, personalisation and automated marketing. Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud will be your best friends, you’ll have an excellent track record in marketing automation and email marketing and you’ll be a natural collaborator — working across The Charity as you develop and implement a marketing automation strategy. Key accountabilities
Support the design, delivery and optimisation of digital journeys and automated marketing campaigns across the organisation.
Take ownership of all email and marketing automation activities in The Charity.
Use Salesforce Marketing Cloud to deliver new community engagement strategies and journeys, utilising one-to-one personalisation techniques and a test and learn approach based on results.
Research key triggers, segment email campaigns to target specific audiences and ensure that campaigns are effectively timed to maximise engagement.
Train others across the organisation to deliver regular email marketing communications to a high standard—as the subject matter expert on Salesforce Marketing Cloud, you’ll support other users.
Implement robust performance analytics and lead scoring practices to enable higher conversions of quality leads and better ROI from all campaigns.
Implement new features and functionality on the platform and evaluate and optimise their impact.
Keep up to speed on supporter/customer engagement trends within and beyond our sector and sharing learning with others to drive up quality and innovation.
Stay current with legal and regulatory frameworks, including; Data Protection legislation and the Code of Fundraising Practice, to ensure that all campaigns comply with current email best practice in the industry.

Participate in team meetings and other meetings as required
Monitor and evaluate activities and provide written reports
Represent The Charity at external events in a professional manner

Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent, with GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Maths, Science grade A-C
Experience
Previous experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud marketing automation tools
Strong analytical mind-set and an ability to analyse campaign ROI
Excellent email marketing and campaign experience is essential
Segmentation and digital journey / experience design
Proven work experience as an Email Marketing Manager or Digital Marketing specialist
Experience with user acceptance testing
Demonstrating strong ROI results
Charity experience would be a strong advantage.
Previous experience in using Customer Journey Orchestration tools such as Thunderhead/Interaction Studio
Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications
Experience using Mobile Studio, Cloud Studio and/or Einstein
Experience in maintaining Salesforce Marketing Cloud and its interactions with Salesforce
Experience using Marketing Cloud Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder and Contact Builder Knowledge
Knowledge
Hands on experience with content management systems
Confident using AMP Script, HTML, and SQL for email
Proficiency in marketing automation technology
Proficiency in email marketing technology
Knowledge of CRM systems, ideally Salesforce
