The Digital / Email Marketing Specialist executes and oversees new and existing email marketing campaigns end-to-end, working with and finding new ways to maximize our current email database. Tests and optimizes emails, manages nurture campaigns and works to convert prospect emails to customers. Continually strives for increasing customer engagement while promoting company brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively manage email campaigns currently running and develops new programs.
- Create email campaigns based off of creative mock-ups using HTML and MJML.
- Assist in the personalization and segmentation of our user databases to create a better customer journey and experience.
- Development of email sends in collaboration with B2B Marketing and Creative teams.
- Work with B2B Marketing Team (Category & Content/Creative) to ensure database cleanliness.
- Report on overall success of campaigns across all platforms and gather data daily, weekly, monthly, etc.
- Create and maintain Email automation programs inside Pardot’s Engagement Studio.
- Build and Execute all email set-up, troubleshooting, and resolution of potential issues.
- Perform Quality Assurance using Litmus to check on all emails and automation ensuring emails are mobile and dark mode friendly and render correctly on all devices.
- Partner with the product marketing team to understand the various customer journeys and translate that into an engagement plan in our email channel.
- Analyze campaign performance and experimentation and make recommendations to continually improve campaign success and conversion rates.
- Setup and manage transactional event triggered emails for multiple business units using Emarsys.
- Leads and assists in other projects and performs other duties as assigned.

- Superior principles of language and grammar required, along with strong proofreading skills.
- Understanding of email marketing best practices, including knowledge of U.S. regulatory and compliance regimes (e.g., CAN-SPAM, CCPA).
- Deep knowledge of B2B email marketing concepts and best practices related to email creation, campaigns and analytics.
- Devise and execute A/B tests, record results, and advise on improvements. Testing includes subject lines, message content, CTAs, customer cohorts, and segments, send time, and new features intended to drive performance lift.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 1-3 years hands-on managing and executing email marketing campaigns
COMPETENCIES (SKILLS AND ABILITIES)
- Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS required
- Fluency in how to build email campaigns with dynamic or conditional content
- Proficiency in ESP programs such as Pardot, Emarsys, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Marketo preferred
- Up to date with the latest and best email trends
- Must have experience developing responsive, adaptive, and dynamic emails
- Proficiency in Marketing Automation software such as Pardot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo and/or Hubspot
- Knowledge of project management programs such as Asana and JIRA
- Understand the importance of the customer journey and become an internal advocate for customers across multiple teams and departments
- Creative problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to identify and define customer segmentation within multiple business units
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Experience using tools like Litmus and Email on Acid for QA a plus
- Experience using MJML, Github, Photoshop and Postman a plus
