We're seeking an expert CRM Strategist to join our team. From first ideas to implementation, you’ll make sure that our users receive the proper content at the right time on the right channel. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with subject matter experts across the business, and continuously learn and share insights with peers and leaders. You will work closely with the Acquisition Team to craft lifecycle strategies for campaigns across email, SMS, push, browser notifications, and more, finding pivotal points in a customer’s journey to trigger the right call to action and onboard members.


The CRM Strategist must work with stakeholders to understand business objectives, define key performance indicators, and provide relevant analysis, insights and recommended actions. An ideal candidate specializes in knowing how and when to effectively communicate to consumers and through which channels of communication, benchmark previous behaviors/performance and also build predictive models of success. We’re looking for someone who will take pride in the details and who has an eye for improving processes along the way. We’re looking for that rare hybrid who is both a data guru and an advocate for customer experience. As our CRM Strategist, you must be hands-on and ready to adapt to the evolving needs of a rapidly growing business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with our Acquisition Team to understand the biggest challenges we face and how we can make iFit an even better experience
  • Evaluate business requirements and work closely with stakeholders to identify key business needs and translate them into a clear strategy solution
  • Work on strategy for new customer workflows for each stage of the customer experience
  • Work with CRM Team on forward strategy and development of lifecycle and loyalty program initiatives: email, SMS, triggers, and more 
  • Develop solutions for members and streamline the process for them to have the best experience possible
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of CRM communications or processes from in-depth knowledge of automation tools
  • Remain current with emerging technologies and industry best practices; guide others on major strategies and methodologies
  • Sync frequently with Retention CRM Strategist to ensure there’s no overlap on Retention and Acquisition initiatives, keeping in mind communication cadence
  • Use tools (or develop new ones!) to solve unique problems in unique ways
  • Proactively work with teammates to improve processes and work methods for greater efficiency
  • Execute best practices in email and SMS compliance regulations
  • Work cross-functionally with members of various teams using Slack and Zoom
  • Use Asana and Confluence to collaborate and track the progress of team projects
  • Other tasks as needed

  • 2+ years experience with lifecycle and CRM strategy
  • Experience with email marketing, lead nurturing, and marketing automation
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget) or similar ESP/Marketing Automation Tool
  • Familiarity with Journey Builder or similar functionality a plus
  • Experience with REST API, AMPscript and Basic SQL
  • Knowledge of email compliance regulations such as CAN-SPAM and GDPR
  • Experience building out lifecycle communication strategy across a user’s lifecycle
  • Experience working with marketing analytics and performance optimization
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment with frequent changes in priorities
  • Project management, communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working with various teams across the business to get desired outcomes
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Familiar with dynamic content, personalization and responsive rendering behaviors
  • Quick learner, step outside of comfort zone and actively seek feedback
  • Confident self-starter, able to manage workload and juggle multiple priorities effectively

Education and/or Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree (marketing, business, or technology related preferred) or equivalent working experience
