How do we reach the customers in our database with relevant communication? How do we increase interaction with the recipients of our newsletters and users of the Action app at home and abroad? If you have any questions like this, you will soon be working as a CRM specialist at our headquarters in Zwaagdijk-Oost. We give you the freedom to set up data-driven journeys at your own discretion and optimise them with the right email, push notification and A/B testing activities. In this way, you will contribute to the further development of our engagement strategy and the roll-out of programmes to more and more countries.
Your daily tasks
Analysing customer data, sharing new insights with your colleagues, optimising the customer journey and increasing engagement. You will do this both for the engagement activities linked to the seasonal campaigns and for new campaigns to be set up. With these campaigns, we approach our customers based on their preferences in order to send the most relevant message at the right time via the right channel.
As a member of the CRM team, you will contribute to the objectives, design and implementation of the CRM strategy in our autumn and spring campaigns, for example. In doing so, you will keep an eye on current trends and past successes. And you will ensure that your campaigns are in line with the other (digital) marketing activities within the entire customer journey. You will measure the effect of past campaigns and action periods using your dashboard and by testing hypotheses and carrying out A/B tests. Then use these insights to optimise the campaigns.
The knowledge you already have about marketing automation, email marketing and push notifications is used to enrich and automate customer journeys and increase customer engagement. You will advise the CRM lead on strategic and tactical opportunities. And based on your experience, you will coach fellow marketeers in their further technical development. Apart from the development-oriented side of your job, you will also have more than enough operational challenges: you will complete the commercial calendar (for lead generation and activation of My Action account users), newsletters and weekly promotions. And you will work on marketing automation, where you set up new journeys yourself.

What you offer
You love to surprise our customers with relevant messages at the right times. By being up to date with current events and digital marketing and retail-related developments, you actively see and take advantage of opportunities. Your suggestions for campaigns and process improvements come from available data (analysis) and your own knowledge. You like to roll up your sleeves and enjoy working together in (agile) teams.
You also have the following:
- Higher professional education level in a relevant direction such as commercial economy, (digital) marketing or creative business
- Experience in marketing automation and setting up customer journeys and customer contact strategies
- Experience with data analytics, interpreting data and converting it into insights and activities
- Preferably experience with Selligent Marketing Cloud or SAP Emarsys
- Excellent spoken and written command of Dutch and English
