About the Role:

Credible is looking for a data-driven, results-oriented Associate Email Marketing Manager to join our Performance Marketing Team to support engagement strategy for our Student Loan Refinance user lifecycle – primarily through email and some support in SMS/outbound calling. This role will report into the Email Marketing Manager. We’re looking for someone who loves digging into data and identifying the best opportunities to drive conversion. 


  • Support planning, execution, performance, and optimization of Student Loan Refi email campaigns, with direction from the Email Marketing Manager, including drip, one-off, and transactional emails 
  • Support the email development process, including ideation, copywriting, design, template/campaign production, audience segmentation, legal review, QA, A/B testing, analysis, documentation, and routine auditing with help on technical production from our SFMC Admin team
  • Partner with others on the Marketing team to test into cross-sell or cross-channel campaigns, and support testing into new channels such as SMS/Text or outbound calling
  • Work closely with Business Intelligence (BI) to report on marketing analytics
  • Proactively push new infrastructure enhancements with the Product/Engineering team, such as adding new fields for email personalization
  • Conduct research into competitor marketing activities and use it to guide ideas for testing
  • Be inventive, independently research your own hypotheses, and develop new ideas to grow loan volume and improve margin

Education and Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in email or lifecycle marketing
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation systems (e.g. SFMC (preferred), Responsys, Marketo) and working with large databases
  • Experience modifying basic HTML and using dynamic content
  • Excellent analytical abilities to support A/B testing and conversion optimization
  • Excellent communicator (written and verbal), with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams
  • Extremely strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Knowledgeable of best email practices, including brand consistency, CAN-SPAM, and deliverability 
  • A commitment to treating your coworkers with respect, turning your ideas into actions through collaboration and communication
  • Desire to work in a startup environment with the ability to take initiative with little direction and iterate quickly
  • Bachelor's degree (e.g. marketing, communications, economics) or equivalent

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in a B2C FinTech space, including working with loan products such as student loans, personal loans, or mortgage
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau
  • A can-do attitude with excitement to test different creatives and a sense of humor
