Job Summary  

The Email Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading email marketing and marketing automation initiatives, while supporting Cohen & Steers integrated digital marketing efforts (paid, search, social & web). The role involves overseeing the strategic direction of our email program, identifying opportunities for the channel to add value to our firm and clients, planning impactful campaigns, ensuring a thoughtful communication cadence and executing emails with excellence. The Email Marketing Manager will report on results, provide distribution partners with meaningful leads and actionable insights, while interpreting data to drive continuous improvements. This is a collaborative position involving engagement with the distribution channels and internal marketing partners along with other key stakeholders across the firm. Major Responsibilities/Activities:

 

Email Marketing

  • Define and drive our email marketing strategy and advocate for successful best practices within the organization, including triggered marketing, drip campaigns, reactivation campaigns and subscription management
  • Own our marketing automation platform, Pardot, monitoring and assessing releases, driving enhancements, managing system integrations, and maximizing its potential
  • Refine our audience contact strategy and segmentation in partnership with Marketing, Distribution and CRM
  • Work with other members of Marketing teams to define and plan email campaigns
  • Build campaign workflows in Pardot and all associated assets such as data segments, landing pages, forms, and third-party integrations
  • Devise, implement, monitor and optimize automated communication campaigns
  • Oversee timely execution of high quality, personalized targeted emails, with the skills to also help with development
  • Ensure excellence in email design and content, providing or refining messaging
  • Continuously drive improvements in our email communications through ongoing testing of design, content, calls-to-action, landing page quality, audience management etc.
  • Monitor and interpret program performance on an ongoing basis and produce regular reports, with insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Provide strategic counsel to stakeholders as the champion of email marketing 

 

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and drive lead generation and management with partners across the firm
  • Work with the team to ensure comprehensive tracking across the customer journey
  • Optimize marketing measurement and integration with Salesforce and PowerBI
  • Work with team to define and create marketing analytics dashboards that are visually engaging and highly actionable
  • Partner with colleagues to analyze and understand impact of customer touch points and success drivers, across different client segments
  • Coordinate with team to ensure campaign messaging is aligned across channels
  • Oversee requirements and implementation of Pardot integration with new website
  • Stay abreast of latest trends and industry tools to optimize and innovate in this space

 

 

Minimum Requirements and Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years of experience
  • Experience in Financial Services required; Asset Management experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of email creation tools and HTML/CSS
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Salesforce and business intelligence tools
  • Expertise in email and marketing automation platforms
  • Pardot Specialist and/or Consultant certifications (preferred)
  • A natural self-starter, with an entrepreneurial attitude and ownership mindset
  • Strategic problem solver with a data-driven mentality focused on identifying key opportunities and avenues for growth
