We are looking for an experienced Demand Gen Email Marketing Manager to manage AppDynamics' email communication programs. The Manager for Demand Gen Email Marketing will partner across the global marketing team to develop engaging digital journeys to nurture customers, prospects and partners through the marketing funnel.

The Manager for Demand Gen Email Programs will be responsible for owning the global email communications calendar and email scheduling across US, EMEAR and APJC regions. They will partner closely with the Marketing Operations and Global Campaigns team to develop email journeys to nurture customers and prospects through the marketing funnel, while also working cross functionally to support our regional Field and Partner Marketing team.

As part of the Global Campaigns and Marketing Operations team, collectively we are responsible for driving leads through the marketing funnel.

You will demonstrate a deep understanding and experience in email demand generation, and use data driven insights to optimize email marketing efforts. The successful candidate will be results driven, a strong communicator, thrive in a dynamic environment and demonstrate excellent collaboration across the marketing team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, execution and optimization for our email marketing campaigns, sequences and lead nurture tracks
  • Run the day to day project management and production process of all email marketing campaigns in Marketo
  • Responsible for accurate tracking, reporting and optimization across our email platform. Provide regular email performance analysis
  • Manage the email communication calendar, collaborating closely with broader marketing team to ensure email standard methodology and sequencing of email communications that support marketing objectives and deliver campaign key performance indicators
  • Manage email deliverability and optimize for performance. Strategize A/B testing to optimize performance
  • Champion best practice across all email marketing globally
  • Leverage data insights to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to optimize our email marketing activities
  • Become an expert in all aspects of email demand generation
  • Collaborate with the wider Cisco marketing team to improve joint opportunities

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years marketing experience with a focus on demand generation and email marketing
  • Strong Marketo experience
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent project management skills with strong attention to detail and a drive for problem solving
  • Ability to build trust with internal / external stakeholders
  • Organized and data oriented with great attention to detail
